Duet concert with claripiano
20. February um 19:00 - 21:00
We are delighted that the Slovenian duo Claripiano is returning to the KLAngwerkstatt with more special music from their homeland.
Tatjana Kaučič (piano) and Dušan Sodja (clarinet) received the highest award for their music, the “Lipovšek Prize” from the Slovenian Composers’ Association for the presentation of Slovenian music.
On this evening, they will play works by Slovenian composers Andrej Makor, Črt Sojar Voglar and Nenad Firšt from different generations, specially dedicated to their duo. On the other hand, the program will be complemented by two rarely performed works: “Three Duets” by Robert Schumann – in an arrangement for pedal piano, arranged by Howard Ferguson and the “Sonata op.129” by the Irish composer Charles V. Stanford, a contemporary of Johannes Brahms.
The CD ’30 Claripiano’ with these compositions was released in 2025 and will be available on this evening.
Admission to the concerts is free, drinks and snacks are provided. Your donation will help to maintain the program with great artists at the KLAngwerkstatt.
